Trust & Safety
The trust layer powersports rentals needed.
Powersports rentals are not like borrowing a lawn chair. The handoff matters, the rules matter, and the evidence matters.
ThrottleShare is built around a simple idea: people already own machines that sit idle, and other people want to ride without buying, storing, towing, and maintaining one. The hard part is not the marketplace software. The hard part is trust at pickup and return.
What changed
The rental flow now includes a guided pickup and return checklist. Renters and owners can move through identity and eligibility checks, waiver and owner-rule acknowledgement, payment authorization, pre-trip photos, pickup confirmation, post-trip photos, return confirmation, and review.
Why photos are now part of the workflow
Condition disputes usually start because nobody documented the machine clearly. ThrottleShare now treats photo documentation as a first-class rental step. Before-pickup and after-return photos create a timestamped record both sides can reference.
Why listing quality matters
Bad listing photos make a marketplace feel empty or untrustworthy. New listing uploads now run through a photo quality gate that rejects images that are too small, too dark, or too blurry. Owners can still list for free, but the platform now pushes toward a cleaner inventory standard.
Trip planning belongs inside the listing
A renter does not only need a machine. They need ramps, trailheads, fuel, campgrounds, weather checks, permit checks, and closure links. Listing pages now point renters toward those planning resources so the booking feels like a trip, not just a transaction.
What this is not
ThrottleShare is a marketplace platform, not an insurance provider. We are building an insurance pilot waitlist so owners can raise their hand for future carrier-backed rental-period options, but that is not coverage today.
For owners
If you have a machine sitting idle, you do not need to fight a long form first. Use the owner concierge path, send the basics, and ThrottleShare can help shape the listing draft for approval.
