ThrottleShare is a peer-to-peer powersports rental marketplace. We connect vehicle owners with renters who want to enjoy jet skis, pontoons, UTVs, ATVs, dirt bikes, and other powersports vehicles without the cost of ownership.

Browse available vehicles by category or location, select your dates, sign the waiver, and authorize payment securely through Stripe. The owner can then confirm the booking, coordinate pickup, and hand off the vehicle. Return it at the agreed time and leave a review.

ThrottleShare offers jet skis, pontoon boats, UTVs, ATVs, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, trailers, campers, and other powersports and recreational vehicles. Inventory grows market by market as owners join the platform.

Pricing is set by individual vehicle owners and varies based on the type of vehicle, age, condition, and rental duration. You can filter by price when browsing listings. Many vehicles start under $200 per day.

No. ThrottleShare is a marketplace platform — we facilitate the connection, payment, and signed liability waiver. We do not provide insurance, underwrite coverage, or act as an insurance broker. Important: most personal auto, motorcycle, and powersports insurance policies EXCLUDE rental-to-others activity. Owners may need a commercial or rental endorsement on their policy. Renters should not assume their personal policy extends to a rented vehicle — particularly across vehicle classes (an auto policy does not cover a rented motorcycle or jet ski). Confirm coverage with your insurance broker before listing or booking.

All users confirm an email and a Stripe-backed payment method before they can rent or list. We offer secure payments through Stripe, in-app messaging so you never need to share personal contact info, and a review system that builds reputation over time. ThrottleShare does not perform in-person identity or credential verification — owners set their own renter-approval requirements and may require proof of license, age, or experience.

Cancellation policies are set by individual owners and displayed on each listing. Common options include flexible (full refund up to 24 hours before), moderate (full refund up to 5 days before), and strict (50% refund up to 7 days before). Always check the listing details before booking.

Sign up for a free account and create a listing for your vehicle. Add photos, set your pricing and availability, connect Stripe for payouts, and publish. Once your listing is live, renters can find and request your vehicle. There is no cost to list.

Renters authorize payment securely through Stripe before an owner can confirm. Owners keep 100% of their listed price; renters pay a 10% service fee on top of the owner's price, not deducted from the owner's payout. Payouts go directly to your bank account or debit card after the rental. No invoicing, no waiting, no checks.

Delivery options depend on the individual owner. Some owners offer delivery and pickup for an additional fee, while others require you to pick up the vehicle at a designated location. Check each listing for delivery details.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and rent on ThrottleShare. Some vehicle types may require you to be 21 or older, and individual owners may set their own age requirements. A valid driver's license is required for all rentals.

Document it with photos and notify the owner immediately through the ThrottleShare message system. Damage is handled directly between owner and renter per the rental agreement. A security deposit (set by the owner) may be held and applied toward repair costs.

ThrottleShare is available anywhere owners list vehicles. Early supply is concentrated in launch markets, and new markets open as owners join.

While prior experience is helpful, it is not always required. Many owners provide a brief orientation before handing over the vehicle. You are responsible for operating the vehicle safely and following all local laws and regulations. Some owners may require proof of experience for high-performance vehicles.
