Do I need to change my insurance?
No. If you already have a commercial fleet policy, bring it — your take rate goes to 88%. If you don't, ThrottleShare's embedded dealer protection covers the rental transaction at the standard 80% take rate. We're actively working with specialty insurance carriers to expand coverage options for dealers — more on that soon.
What if a renter damages my unit?
Time-stamped photo documentation at pickup and return creates a clear record. Security deposits are held automatically and released or applied based on documented condition. ThrottleShare's dealer protection covers damage claims up to your policy limit. For Elite dealers, we provide dedicated dispute support.
Can I pull a unit for a sale at any time?
Yes. You control availability. Mark a unit unavailable or pause it in seconds. If you have an active booking in that window, you'll need to honor it or work with us to rebook the renter — same policy as any marketplace. Everything else is instant.
I already use WaveRez / Indexic / Peek Pro for bookings. Does that conflict?
No — it's additive. ThrottleShare generates a standard iCal feed that any modern booking platform can consume — including WaveRez, FareHarbor, Peek Pro, Indexic, and others. When a booking happens in your existing software, those dates block on ThrottleShare automatically. No double-bookings, no manual calendar management. We're a demand channel on top of your existing stack, not a replacement.
What categories are eligible?
ATVs, UTVs/side-by-sides, jet skis and PWC, boats and pontoons, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, golf carts, motorcycles, and trailers. If it's in your powersports dealership, it's eligible. New categories (e-bikes, e-foils) being added through 2026.
How is this different from Polaris Adventures?
Polaris Adventures is OEM-specific and requires a formal outfitter agreement with Polaris. ThrottleShare is brand-agnostic — Can-Am, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Sea-Doo, all eligible. And you're not locked into OEM pricing structures or activity packages. You set your own rates and rules.
