Community Captain + Ride Guide

Turn local trust into a useful ride network.

Give residents, guests, and visitors one market page for local carts, UTVs, watercraft, motorcycles, trailers, and outdoor rentals while owners keep control of their own listings.

Community Captains are independent partners, not employees, agents, or franchisees. Partner terms and eligibility apply.

Built for

Community leaders, STR managers, campground teams, marina staff, local creators, club organizers, and destination experts

One local link

Share a market page through guest guides, QR cards, resident groups, event notes, or front-desk recommendations.

Trusted inventory lane

Invite owners and established operators you already know to create or approve their own listings.

Demand visibility

Use privacy-safe Wanted Inventory groups to see which categories local renters are asking for.

Tracked contribution

Approved partners can receive a referral tag and dashboard so market activity is attributable.

How it works

Start narrow. Prove the lane. Expand from real activity.

  1. 1

    Define the place

Choose a community, lake, trail system, campground network, resort area, or destination corridor.

  2. 2

    Recruit useful supply

Start with the small number of categories residents and guests actually request.

  3. 3

    Publish the ride guide

Use the existing ThrottleShare market page or work with the founder on a focused local entry point.

  4. 4

    Grow from real signals

Add inventory and partnerships only where searches, requests, and completed activity justify it.

Questions before you start

Clear boundaries, useful next steps.

Do Community Captains operate the equipment?

Not through this program. Each owner or rental operator controls their own equipment, terms, approval, handoff, and legal requirements.

Can a vacation-rental host use the Ride Guide?

Yes. Hosts and managers can share a local link or QR card without owning rental equipment.

Is every applicant automatically approved?

No. ThrottleShare reviews each application, market plan, and proposed partner relationship before activation.

How is demand kept private?

Public Wanted Inventory groups require multiple distinct renters and omit names, contact details, exact dates, budgets, notes, request IDs, and exact totals.

Build the page your community can confidently share.

Use the existing ThrottleShare application and concierge workflows. No parallel account, spreadsheet, or off-platform booking path is required.
